On the 8th of August renowned ocean advocate and swimmer Lewis Pugh will visit Leopard’s Leap Family Vineyards to do a reading from his new book, 21 Yaks and a Speedo. Then on the 22nd of August, Mike Nicol, will is the featured author, being interviewed by luminary of the Afrikaans writing community, Deon Meyer.

Leopard’s Leap has always focused on literature as an area of passion, both for the brand and the people behind it.  To celebrate this, the brand will be (for the 3rd consecutive year) sponsoring the Open Book Festival taking place in Cape Town from 7 – 11 September 2013. 

Not only will Leopard’s Leap be a prominent sponsor during the festival, but in anticipation of the festival they are also hosting two exciting events at their Franschhoek home in August.

On the 8th of August renowned ocean advocate and swimmer Lewis Pugh will visit Leopard’s Leap Family Vineyards to do a reading from his new book, 21 Yaks and a Speedo, as well as discuss his experiences and be available for questions and discussion with the audience.

Then on the 22nd of August Mike Nicol, one of South Africa's foremost and most respected crime fiction writers, will be the featured author.  He will be interviewed by Deon Meyer, luminary of the Afrikaans writing community, about his new book, Cops and Robbers, writing, and life in general. 

More confirmed authors at Open Book 2013 are Teju Cole, Andy Mason, Anton Kannemeyer, Lauren Beukes, Ian Rankin, Zapiro and NoViolet Bulawayo.
